Dreaming of deepening your wine knowledge or perhaps changing your career path entirely? Edunova, in collaboration with the Swedish Vinkällan (https://vinkallan.se/), now offers a partly online sommelier training program in English, starting in November 2025. The course is partly conducted online, which allows for participation from all over Finland. We will arrange eight (8) on-site tasting sessions in Turku in 2026.
Our sommelier training is suitable for both those already working in the restaurant industry and those curious about becoming a part of it. No prior knowledge is required!
Course Content:
Theoretical Knowledge: Learn all about grape varieties, wine regions, winemaking, and much more.
Practical Exercises: Develop your ability to taste wine, analyze flavors, and create food pairings.
Certification: Upon completion, you will receive a sought-after sommelier certificate.
Personal Development: Expand your network and make new contacts in the wine industry.
Course Materials and Other Resources: Sommelier training binder, Learnifier learnings platform, Powerpoint, grapes compendium, tasting guide, wine maps, wine lists. All written material are also available in Swedish. The training is both online and on-site, allowing you to study at your own pace. The training includes short films, text, images, and quizzes within each chapter.The training platform is mobile-friendly and allows you to chat with other course participants. The training also includes wine tastings, group work, and assignments.

The sommelier training concludes with a written exam and a blind tasting, which, upon passing, will earn you the title of Sommelier.

Total Price: 4590€ + VAT 25.5%
Fee 1 (€2000 + VAT 25.5%) will be invoiced on November 2025, before the course opens up via the learning platform Learnifyer.
Fee 2 (€2590 + VAT 25.5%) will be invoiced in April 2026.
